Children's Ministry
Calvary Baptist Church believes that investing in children does not just mean sending them out of the service while the adults have ‘church.’ The children at Calvary experience opportunities targeted toward teaching them about the scriptures while also enjoying a host of opportunities to serve within the service by taking up offering, sharing special music, or participating in special programs. Each week the pastor includes a children’s sermon to help the youngest members of the congregation understand the basics behind the sermon. This allows children to learn from the older role models during the church service in invaluable ways.
Children also experience more directed learning opportunities that are designed to give them a chance to ask and answer questions, discuss scripture, and build a stronger understanding and knowledge of the Bible.
Our Sunday School program has a place for children of all ages (birth to college) and meets each week before the church service. Children are also invited to participate in the children’s programs that occur during Sunday morning services each month.
Children’s choir meets every second Sunday of the month during the Sunday morning service to practice for special presentations of songs or programs and the fourth Sunday provides children the opportunity to learn more about God through lessons, games, and crafts.
